Naturopathic Physician & Licensed Acupuncturist

Alexandria Nguyen-Johnson As a naturopathic physician and licensed acupuncturist, I promote your wellbeing using a holistic and individualized approach that meets you where you are and supports your health goals. Trained in primary care, I focus on women’s health, hormone regulation, menopause, family medicine, pediatrics, weight management, thyroid disorders, skin conditions, chronic illnesses, and adjunctive oncology support.

I invite you to learn more about the healing modalities I incorporate into my practice!

Naturopathic medicine

To help you move toward optimal health, I may use one or more of these natural therapies:

  • Bodywork
  • Botanical medicines
  • Diet
  • Flower essences
  • Food as medicine
  • Herbal teas
  • Homeopathy
  • Hydrotherapy
  • Lifestyle
  • Nutritional supplementation

Acupuncture

I combine a Classical Chinese medicine approach with a more gentile Japanese style acupuncture technique to address:

  • Cycle regulation
  • Digestive complaints
  • Fertility support
  • Headaches
  • Mental and emotional complaints
  • Musculoskeletal and joint complaints
  • Sleep disturbances
  • Urinary issues

Being a physician is so much more than prescribing medication for me. I want to build a relationship with you and bring back the family in medicine. In my treatment room, you can count on a safe environment where you can be yourself and speak freely.

I look forward to helping you reach your full health potential!

Education and background

I grew up in rural Southern Oregon and received my Bachelors of Science in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from the University of Oregon. I emphasized in plant ecology, developmental biology, and neurobiology. I also worked in the genetic research lab studying various mutations in zebrafish.

I earned my Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine and a Masters in Acupuncture at the National College of Natural Medicine. While at NCNM, I focused on women’s health, thyroid disorders, pediatrics, IV therapy, and chronic conditions. In addition to the required naturopathic and Chinese medicine coursework, I completed a six-month externship in midwifery, pediatrics, and women’s health.

Outside of work

I am an avid cook and have a passion for nature. I enjoy spending my free time in my garden, fly-fishing, hiking, camping, taking my dog Bess for a run, and being the best aunt I can be to my little nephews. I am learning the art of sourdough bread baking and hope to someday bake my own baguettes.
