Her sister introduced her to yoga while Corrie was recovering from a severe illness as a teenager that limited her ability to exercise. She is proud to note that she has since made a full recovery– with the support of her yoga practice! Corrie also lives with ADHD. As a result\, Corrie is a staunch advocate for trauma-informed yoga practices that are accessible to a variety of learning styles. Yoga is for every body– regardless of age\, gender\, and seen/unseen disabilities. \nCorrie received her yoga teacher certification in early 2025\, and has been teaching since throughout the Portland metro area and the Columbia River Gorge. She is currently working towards her 500-hour advanced teaching certification. DESCRIPTION:Learn more about your nervous system in this 4-week experiential Anchored Within Series \nOur autonomic nervous system operates largely outside of our conscious awareness. Her work integrates yoga and breathwork\, mindfulness\, and somatic approaches to create spaces that are safe\, inclusive\, and responsive to each individual. Kristen’s teaching style is grounded\, intuitive\, and gently engaging\, with an emphasis on choice\, internal awareness\, and meeting each individual exactly where they are. She is passionate about helping people reconnect with their bodies\, build a sense of safety within themselves\, and access the body’s innate capacity for vitality and authentic expression.
