SUMMARY:Wednesday Yin Yoga Series
DESCRIPTION:Wednesday Yin Yoga Series\nDiscover your midweek sanctuary with Alessa’s Wednesday Yin Yoga Series! This is a nurturing\, unhurried practice crafted for all bodies and all experience levels. Whether you’re brand new to yoga or a seasoned practitioner\, Wednesday afternoons just became your favorite part of the week. \nYin yoga works beneath the surface. Unlike more active styles\, this grounded\, floor-based practice focuses on passive\, long-held postures that access the deeper connective tissues of the body – think fascia\, joints\, and ligaments. The result? Increased flexibility\, reduced tension\, and a nervous system that finally gets to exhale. \nAlessa’s Wednesday Yin Yoga Series is thoughtfully sequenced to guide you from the noise of the day into a place of genuine quiet. Each posture is an invitation to breathe more fully\, to release what you’ve been holding\, and to simply be present. Props\, modifications\, and options are woven throughout every class\, so you’re always empowered to make the practice your own. \nNo yoga background required. Show up as you are. \n\nMark Your Calendar\nDates: Every Wednesday \nTime: 2:15 – 3:15 PM \nCost: $29 per session \n\nMeet Alessa\nAlessa Midtlyng received her RYT 200 hour certification from Pachananda Yoga Teacher Training Program in Cusco\, Peru in 2020\, with a focus on Vinyasa and Restorative. She first sought out yoga in 2016 when she began to venture onto the healing path and she then quickly found that yoga was the gateway to mental health and physical wellbeing. Over the years\, her personal practice and teaching have expanded  to include a deep love for practicing and sharing yin\, where she witnessed transformative results in the realm of integration\, sleep\, nervous system regulation\, and self awareness. She is passionate about holding space for students to slow down and reconnect to their bodies. \nSpace is limited — register now to reserve your spot! \n\n \n \n Class Registration\n Sign up below to reserve your spot! SUMMARY:Wednesday Hatha Rollin' Yoga
DESCRIPTION:Wednesday Hatha Rollin’ Yoga is a breath-led yoga practice combining foam rolling with foundational yoga poses to support fascial health\, nervous system regulation\, and sustainable movement needed for everyday life. The foam roller is used as both a release tool and a supportive prop – blending gentle rolling\, mindful movement\, and breath awareness into a hatha yoga practice. This class aims to improve mobility\, build strength\, and enhance coordination between essential body movements for everyday life tasks. This class is a great option for all levels of yogis\, and especially for those looking to progressively increase range of motion and move with greater clarity and resilience. \nWhile there are some foam rollers available for use\, it is encouraged for students to bring their own. \n______ \nEvent Details\nWhen: Every Wednesday \nTime: 3:30 – 4:30 PM \nCost: $29 \nWhat To Bring: \n\nComfortable clothes to move in\nA water bottle\nA foam roller\n\n_______ \nMeet Corrie\nCorrie has been a yoga student for over 20 years. Her sister introduced her to yoga while Corrie was recovering from a severe illness as a teenager that limited her ability to exercise. She is proud to note that she has since made a full recovery– with the support of her yoga practice! Corrie also lives with ADHD. As a result\, Corrie is a staunch advocate for trauma-informed yoga practices that are accessible to a variety of learning styles. Yoga is for every body– regardless of age\, gender\, and seen/unseen disabilities. \nCorrie received her yoga teacher certification in early 2025\, and has been teaching since throughout the Portland metro area and the Columbia River Gorge. She is currently working towards her 500-hour advanced teaching certification. She is certified to teach a variety of yoga practice styles including: hatha\, hatha and foam rolling\, vinyasa\, yin yoga\, and kids yoga. \nCorrie is also known as “Rio’s mom.” If a black dog looks like she really wants you to pet her while checking in for your class\, that is likely Rio. In Corrie’s spare time\, she loves to spend time outdoors with Rio\, play guitar\, and she is currently training for her second marathon. \nIf you’d like to learn more about Corrie’s yoga teaching philosophy\, additional community events\, workshops\, or retreats that Corrie leads throughout the year\, please visit her website at www.brown-eyedyogi.com or find her on Instagram at browneyedyogi006. \n_______ \n\n \n \n Class Registration\n Sign up below to reserve your spot! SUMMARY:Crystal Chakra Healing with Sound Activation
DESCRIPTION:Enjoy relaxing crystal chakra healing with James Hadde\, a certified crystal healer\, reiki practitioner\, and cranial sacral therapist. \nHow Crystals Work \nCrystals channel energy and they can focus\, store\, transmit\, and transmute this energy and it can be used for beneficial healing and energizing effects. \nBenefits of Crystal Healing \nCrystals channel\, focus\, store\, transmit\, and transmute energy along natural energy meridians within the body which can be used for beneficial healing and energizing effects. \nCrystal healing is about change; it involves working with crystals to improve your physical and mental health\, emotional wellbeing\, and spiritual advancement. Crystals improve your general state of wellbeing and reduce or even remove the symptoms of disease. They also speed up changes in your life and facilitate lifestyle choices that promote health and recovery. \n______ \nCrystal Chakra Healing Class Info\nWhen: Every Wednesday \nTime: 7:45 – 9:00pm \nCost: $39 \nWhat to Expect: This session focuses on the placement of crystals along the main chakra meridian of the body where their piezoelectric effects are activated and enhanced via sound\, reiki\, and cranial sacral therapy. Please bring your own pillow and blanket for deeper relaxation. \n_______ \nMeet James\nJames Hadde has spent most of his life in Japan and Hawai’i working as an art teacher\, scuba diving instructor\, and vibrational healer. This geographic isolation nourished a window to view the human body as an island that floats in a sea of modern experience which contributes to and enhances anxiety\, stress\, depression\, and an unbalanced nervous system. \nRapid injury rehabilitation and a shift toward improved mental health introduced him to yoga and vibrational healing where over the last decade he has sought training to assist himself and share this philosophy with others. He is RYT 200-hour yoga certified in Tatravana Yoga\, a certified crystal healer\, gong master and sound practitioner\, trained in reiki through the Hawaii lineage\, and has studied cranial sacral therapy here in Portland at Moving Mountain Institute. It is his pleasure to hold space for healing and exploration beyond allopathic medicine and to encourage an open heart and mind regarding the various complementary and holistic vibrational modalities which can tonify and relax body\, mind\, and soul. \n  \n_______ \n\n \n \n Class Registration\n Sign up below to reserve your spot! SUMMARY:Shavasana Sound Therapy for Fascial Rejuvenation
DESCRIPTION:Join Gong Master and Yoga Instructor\, James Hadde as he guides the group through sixty minutes of yoga nidra (yogic sleep) and restorative yoga utilizing vibrational healing techniques with gong\, crystal bowls\, and guided meditation. The underlying themes of our shavasana are focused on rejuvenating facia\, balancing mind\, body\, and spirit\, and intuitively reducing stress and tension. Please bring your own pillow or blanket for deeper relaxation. \nHow It Works\nCollagen is a piezoelectric material\, meaning it generates an electrical charge in response to vibration. Sound frequencies create resonate\, healing vibration through fascial tissue. This activates the charge and supports cellular communication\, fluid exchange\, and the reorganization of collagen fibers along more functional lines. Also\, deep meditative states shift your autonomic nervous system into parasympathetic dominance. This directly reduces the sympathetic armoring that keeps fascia in chronic contraction and stress. Fascia that receives consistent vibrational input moves and recovers differently. Your nervous system learns to treat your body as safe rather than threatened\, and these tissues softens\, rehydrates\, and reorganizes accordingly. \n______ \nShavasana Sound Therapy Class Info\nWhen: Every Wednesday \nTime: 9:15 – 10:15pm \nCost: $29 \nWhat to Bring:Please bring your own pillow or blanket for deeper relaxation. \n_______ \nMeet James\nJames Hadde has spent most of his life in Japan and Hawai’i working as an art teacher\, scuba diving instructor\, and vibrational healer. SUMMARY:Anchored Within Series
DESCRIPTION:Learn more about your nervous system in this 4-week experiential Anchored Within Series \nOur autonomic nervous system operates largely outside of our conscious awareness. It constantly scans for cues of safety or danger and shapes how we respond to the world around us moment to moment\, regulating our heart rate\, breath\, digestion\, mood\, and capacity for connection — often before we have words for what we’re feeling. \nIn this experiential four-week series inspired by the book Anchored: How to Befriend Your Nervous System Using Polyvagal Theory we’ll engage in mindfulness\, creative reflection to strengthen our understanding of our different nervous system states that move us toward connection\, activation\, or withdrawal and explore gentle movements through yoga\, breath work\, and meditation practices that support regulation\, resilience\, and inner steadiness. \nIt is highly encouraged to sign up for all 4 weeks\, but drop-ins are welcome. \n\nMark Your Calendar\nDates: Fridays – \n\nMay: 5/1\, 5/8\, 5/15\, 5/22\nJune: 6/5\, 6/12\, 6/19\, 6/26\n\nTime: 12:15 – 1:45 PM \nCost: $49 per session \nWhat to Bring: A journal and your favorite drawing tool (e.g.\, pencil/pen\, color pencils\, and/or markers) are recommended but not required. Art supplies for creative reflection will be provided. \n\nMeet Deborah\n \nDeborah Burke has completed her 200-hour\, 500-hour advanced yoga\, and 20-hour Love Your Brain training for healthcare professionals certifications. Currently\, she is a yoga therapist in training with the Institute for Living Yoga. She has 20+ years of experience as a community-based\, social justice educator and is currently a professor at Portland State University\, where she facilitates a capstone course titled Communal Art Practice within a Brain Injury Community in partnership with Brain Injury Connections Northwest. \nShe is interested in offering accessible\, trauma-informed yoga to people who have experienced brain injury or other groups of people who may experience barriers to attending a yoga class. Some of her teaching interests include chair or functional yoga; yoga for anxiety/depression; yoga to address compassion fatigue for healthcare workers\, social service providers\, and social justice leaders and activists; and yoga integrated with art. \nSpace is limited — register now to reserve your spot! \n\n \n \n Class Registration\n Sign up below to reserve your spot! These practices became essential tools for centering myself\, finding balance\, and deepening my connection to my inner world. Along the way\, I discovered the profound impact of sound baths and began participating in them regularly. Their ability to calm the nervous system\, release emotional blockages\, and create space for healing inspired me deeply. \n \nA few years ago\, I started collecting sound bowls and other instruments\, incorporating them into my own daily self-care and spiritual practice. What began as a personal exploration gradually evolved into something I felt called to share. I recently began offering sound bath sessions to others\, creating nurturing\, immersive experiences that support relaxation\, presence\, and inner harmony. \nI feel a deep sense of joy and alignment when guiding sound baths and am honored to offer this healing modality to others. It’s a practice that continues to nourish me as I hold space for others on their own healing paths.

SUMMARY:Yin & Win: A Saturday Yin Yoga Class
DESCRIPTION:A Saturday Yin Yoga Series\nWelcome to this beginner-friendly Saturday Yin yoga class series hosted by Alessa! This a slow\, calming practice designed to help you unwind and reset. \nThis yin yoga class is a gentle\, floor-based style of yoga where poses are held for longer periods (typically a few minutes at a time) to deeply stretch the connective tissues\, improve flexibility\, and encourage stillness in both body and mind. \nIn this class\, we’ll settle into simple\, supported shapes and focus on relaxed breathing\, allowing gravity and time to do the work rather than effort or intensity. You’ll be invited to go at your own pace\, with options to adjust or come out of poses whenever you need. This is a space to slow down\, release tension\, and cultivate a sense of ease—perfect for easing out of the day and leaving feeling grounded\, open\, and deeply restored. \nAll levels welcome! \n\nMark Your Calendar\nDates: Every Saturday \nTime: 12:00 – 1:30 PM \nCost: $49 per session \n\nMeet Alessa\nAlessa Midtlyng received her RYT 200 hour certification from Pachananda Yoga Teacher Training Program in Cusco\, Peru in 2020\, with a focus on Vinyasa and Restorative. SUMMARY:Yoga for Hypermobility & EDS
DESCRIPTION:Building Stability and Body Awareness\nThis class is designed for people with hypermobile bodies\, including those living with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS) or hypermobility spectrum disorders. \nWe’ll explore slow\, controlled yoga movements that build joint stability\, strength\, and body awareness. Practices emphasize working within supportive ranges of motion\, improving proprioception\, and developing muscular support around joints. \nClasses are primarily movement-based yoga practice\, with brief guidance to help students understand how to move safely and effectively in hypermobile bodies. \nStudents are welcome to attend the full 6-week series or join individual classes as drop-ins. \nNo prior yoga experience is required. \n\nSeries Focus\nWeek 1: Understanding Hypermobility in Movement\nLearning how to work within supportive ranges of motion. We explore neutral joint alignment\, micro-bends\, and the difference between mobility and stability through slow\, simple yoga poses. \nWeek 2: Proprioception & Body Awareness\nPractices that improve awareness of joint position and movement. We use slow transitions\, small-range movements\, and props such as blocks or the wall to support body awareness. \nWeek 3: Joint Stability & Co-Contraction\nDeveloping muscular support around joints through gentle strengthening and co-contraction. The practice includes low-load strength work and isometric holds that stabilize shoulders and hips. \nWeek 4: Moving with Control\nLearning to move with precision rather than momentum. We explore slow transitions\, coordination patterns\, and controlled flowing movements. \nWeek 5: Nervous System Regulation\nPractices that support recovery and reduce tension in the body. This class includes breathwork\, restorative postures\, and pacing strategies to support nervous system balance. \nWeek 6: Integration & Personal Practice\nBringing the elements together into a sustainable yoga practice. Students learn how to modify yoga safely and apply the tools from the series in everyday movement. \n\nMark Your Calendar\nDates: Saturdays – \n\nApril 11\nApril 25\nMay 9\nMay 23\nJune 6\nJune 20\n\nTime: 6:00 -7:15PM \nCost: $39 per session \nExtras: Chairs and props provided \n\nMeet Zsuzsanna\nI’ve been practicing yoga for over 18 years and teach with a focus on presence and curiosity. My classes support strength\, mobility\, and body awareness\, with space for students to explore what works best for their own bodies. I completed my foundational training with Suniti Dernovsek at the People’s Yoga and continued with Sarahjoy Marsh through a 300-hour advanced training and an 800-hour yoga therapy program that integrates yoga\, neuroscience and psychology. I encourage students to practice in ways that feel sustainable\, accessible and aligned with their own experience. In addition to group classes\, I offer one-on-one yoga therapy and make small-batch chocolate. From a young age\, she felt connected to subtle energies and the\nemotional experiences of others\, a sensitivity that later became the foundation of her work. \nReiki became a transformative part of her life during a period of deep personal healing. Through reconnecting with her intuition and inner truth\, she discovered her calling to support others on their own journeys. Her practice began with self-healing and naturally expanded to loved ones and clients. In each session\, she blends Reiki with sound healing to activate the body’s natural restorative abilities. Clients may experience warmth\, cooling sensations\, emotional release\, deep relaxation\, or clarity. \nHer intention is always to create a grounded\, compassionate space where individuals can release what no longer serves them and reconnect with their authentic selves. Her approach is intuitive\, gentle\, and guided by the belief that healing unfolds uniquely for every person. \n  \n_______ \n\n \n \n Class Registration\n Sign up below to reserve your spot! She creates spaces where you don’t have to perform\, push\, or keep up\, just listen\, explore\, and reconnect. Whether you’re navigating physical challenges\, stress\, burnout\, or simply looking for a different relationship with your body\, Samantha’s classes are designed to support both physical and emotional well-being. \nShe draws from her background in health coaching to weave in themes of sustainable wellness\, self-trust\, and curiosity over control. You’ll hear invitations to notice rather than fix\, to feel rather than force\, and to honor your body’s cues over external expectations. \n\n \n \n Class Registration\n Sign up below to reserve your spot! DESCRIPTION:Monday Hatha Rollin’ Yoga is a breath-led yoga practice combining foam rolling with foundational yoga poses to support fascial health\, nervous system regulation\, and sustainable movement needed for everyday life. \n______ \nEvent Details\nWhen: Every Monday \nTime: 9:00 – 10:00 AM \nCost: $29 \nWhat To Bring: \n\nComfortable clothes to move in\nA water bottle\nA foam roller\n\n_______ \nMeet Corrie\nCorrie has been a yoga student for over 20 years.
