What is Neural Therapy?
Neural Therapy is a safe and proven technique for addressing nervous system dysfunction, specifically the autonomic nervous system. This part of the nervous system is responsible for automatic functions that we don’t think about, but our body does, such as breathing, pulse, and digestion. Many symptoms can arise from disturbances to this system which can cause over or under firing of nerve signals. These disturbances can be caused by many things, though scars and trauma resulting in direct damage to nerves are the most obvious cases. Neural therapy seeks to correct these disturbances by utilizing an injection of a local anesthetic which essentially resets these nerves and restores nerve function and circulation to the affected organ or area.
What to expect in a Neural Therapy session:
Using a very fine needle, the anesthetic is most often injected superficially into the skin and is often not injected deeper into the body. The local anesthetic used does not typically cause numbness, as a diluted amount is used. Due to the small size of the needle and the solution used, there is often only minor discomfort during the procedure. The amount of injections will vary depending on need per session, as treatments are highly personalized. Complete treatment can often require multiple sessions. While the sessions are short, effects can be long lasting and provide permanent relief of symptoms.
