Asha Woo, LAcLife is a great mystery school where we get to remember who we are and why we are here. I have been walking an eclectic spiritual path for over a decade and understand that the search for balance, meaning and purpose can sometimes feel like a treasure hunt or like an obstacle course. I aspire to help you connect deeply with your inner knowing to help you reach the next level of health, wellness and fulfillment. The body holds great wisdom as well as a story, and I approach each person with gentleness and respect. As a practitioner, I am mindful of my diet, physically and mentally, so that I may be a clear transmitter of energy as well as clear receiver for intuition and guidance.

Education and Experience

In 2007, I graduated from the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine with a Masters in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine, and am nationally certified with the NCCAOM. I have spent over a decade specializing in mental-emotional health treating PTSD, depression, anxiety, and chronic pain due to trauma. In recent years, my passion in awakening has led me to study with Dr. Mikio Sankey, the founder of Esoteric Acupuncture. I primarily use the sacred geometry encoding patterns of Esoteric Acupuncture as the foundation of my treatments, weaving in Traditional Chinese Medicine and 5-Element acupuncture as needed. Esoteric Acupuncture benefits all conditions while also aiming to expand a person’s consciousness through balancing the chakras and building the Antahkarana, the person’s spiritual antenna to their higher wisdom. These treatments may feel like a relaxing reset of the body, or a full body-mind attunement helping someone reconnect with themselves, catalyzing change from the inside out

In bodywork, I have trained in Japanese Shiatsu and Thai massage. I blend these forms with Esoteric Acupuncture, Reiki and Bowenwork, creating a gentle form of acupressure that eases the body and calms the mind. Working with presence and intention, my goal is to allow emotional and mental stress to unravel and any physical gripping to relax and release, creating more space in the person’s inner and outer world.

A typical treatment

During the intake, I assess which geometric encoding pattern to use, adding in other points as needed to address specific concerns. Before and after the needles are placed, I check the chakras, adjusting the treatment as necessary to bring the body into balance.

With permission, I can check the person’s energetic body for tears, cords, hooks or other astral debris and clear the blockages. If needed, there are acupuncture patterns I can use to help strengthen and protect their energetic field.

Cupping can be added at the start of the treatment for releasing tension in the fascia of the back and shoulders. Acupressure massage can also be added before or after the acupuncture treatment.

Sometimes, towards the end of a treatment, a healing song may arise in my mind, which I will offer to sing. I have a close connection with the Orixas of nature, such as Iemanja of the ocean and Oxum of the rivers and waterfalls, and will sing some of their songs in closing.

Volunteer Work

My heart has led me back to working with hospice patients. I am a volunteer with Legacy Hospice doing massage, and I am in training to be a Soul Midwife, also known as an End-of-Life doula.

Outside of work

My practices include meditation and movement, honoring the moon, juice cleansing, fetching spring water, journal writing, painting and communing with nature. I have a great love of traveling, as well as simply staying home and tending the garden. Happily married and consciously parenting, I aspire to evolve through sacred relationship.

What clients have shared:

“Asha has the insight, intuition and skills to work with spirit and offer a space of healing. Her warm, gentle and caring presence creates a space of trust. I feel deeply held and cared for by Asha from the moment I meet her for a session until the moment I say goodbye. Her modality of Esoteric Acupuncture is incredibly potent. After my last session with her I had the best bowel movement in weeks. Such powerful healing on the physical, spiritual and psychological levels. I highly recommend a session with Asha!” D. T

“I have known Asha for 3 years and have received acupuncture from her many times. Her Esoteric acupuncture has been a mixture of deep healing and profound spiritual experience. I highly recommend her to anyone seeking a healing experience. “ G.L.

“The first time I received Esoteric Acupuncture was while I was going through a very challenging time – with my health, alcohol addiction, work and a scary new relationship. I was struggling with a lot of anxiety, panic attacks and depression. During our session she suggested focusing on certain points on my head, giving me simple prompts that seemed to open something in me. I had the most amazing moments of clarity during the session, where everything just fell into place and the anxiety dissipated as I started to see the future unfolding exactly as it was meant to. I’ve never experienced that with acupuncture, but with Asha every treatment feels like a journey. It isn’t just acupuncture but almost like a rainbow medicine healing session, in which she applies whatever modality may be healing in that moment with what’s going on: cupping, needles, massage, energy work, and support! I am so grateful.” L.B.

“I had a broken toe and was experiencing a lot of issues with the healing process. I also suffer from chronic Lyme Disease, which only complicated my healing. After my first session, I was hooked. I’ve received acupuncture in the past but it was always difficult for me to relax and sink into it. But with Asha, I felt so comfortable and was able to reach a very deep state of relaxation. She brings some seriously good vibes every time, with a sense of really wanting to help in any way she can. I’m always in pretty severe pain from the Lyme, but after my sessions with Asha I can find a state of presence with my body that seems to relieve the pain.” E. B.

“Esoteric Acupuncture is not merely another form of acupuncture treatment. Esoteric Acupuncture defines a “way of life.” This way of life emphasizes the awakening and expansion of our spiritual center (not the same as religions). This way of life includes the importance of understanding the vibrational frequencies of the foods and drinks we ingest. Everything we eat and drink shapes our multiple energy fields. It is important to only ingest foods of the cleanest and highest vibrations. Energy is transported through our hands, fingers and mind through the acupuncture needle into the client. Energy is a transporter of information. What information are you transmitting to your client?” – Dr. Mikio Sankey
