Lindsay Bodo, LMT

From Chronic Pain to Vibrant Well-being

Over a decade of private practice, I’ve developed a responsive, listening touch that makes it safe to receive with me even if you are suffering from acute pain or injury. The foundation of my work is a focus on providing compassionate and educated treatment. Each session with me is unique. The best bodywork is focused on helping you feel present and aligned. I’ll meet you where you are in the moment and collaborate on a treatment plan that addresses your struggles and supports you in experiencing more of what you wish, whether it be comfort, ease, grace, or joy.

Since childhood, I’ve relieved my family members’ stiff necks. This innate intuition combined with a highly trained technical skill-set has allowed me to provide detailed and effective care across your entire body. The goal is always to help people feel better in their bodies!

Whether you are suffering and in pain, or just want to come receive for the joy of it, I love helping your body align with optimal wellness!

Brighten your possibility for wellness despite invisible illness

I suffered through two decades of chronic invisible illness (now thankfully resolved). Just because you may appear healthy from the outside does not mean you are living the life you want. Maybe you’ve hit dead-ends with your conventional doctor. I will help you overcome the challenges of chronic illness or injury through a combination of hope and physical treatment. I will be able to take a holistic approach to your health.

For massage sessions this means leveraging the benefits of focused Myofascial Release work, freeing up the connective tissue enveloping your muscles, releasing scar tissue, and increasing your capacity for greater ease and range of motion from head, shoulders, knees and toes.

Discover the power of Craniosacral Therapy and Visceral Manipulation

I prefer to work “smarter, not harder”. While I can sink an elbow into a cyclist’s tight glutes or use Swedish Massage to sooth out your stress, I will be more precise. I will find your specific areas of restriction and dysfunction to open your capacity to move better with less pain.

I see my role as working WITH your body, facilitating the process of unwinding and rebalancing rather than beating you up or imposing my agenda on you. Clients who are the best fit are not attached to one particular method of massage, but are open minded and simply want to feel better, with as little pain or discomfort along the way.

Because my work focuses on precision over pressure, you will be pleasantly baffled as you realize you feel “lighter” and are suddenly experiencing “more freedom” in your range of motion without feeling what I was doing while you are relaxed on my massage table.

Aromatherapy: Where Biochemistry and Magic Meld

By adding the benefits of both potent and pure essential oils and my high quality and nurturing hands-on healing techniques, your treatment will be taken to the next level! Manual therapy can be incredibly powerful in its own right, but the healing potential of distilled plant medicine magnifies the transformative nature of my work on a cellular, emotional, and energetic level.

While not every bodywork session integrates aromatherapy, and I’m happy to respect your preferences if you are scent sensitive or have allergies, I do usually integrate at least a few essential oils into each session in support of healing aspects including; reducing pain and inflammation, easing muscle spasms, supporting detoxification pathways, and aiding in feeling grounded, safe, calm, and uplifted.

Conditions I treat

  • Headaches and Migraines
  • Whiplash and Car Accident Injuries
  • Vertigo

  • TMJ and lingering effects from orthodonture or oral surgeries

Education, Background, About Me

I’ve always had a passion for understanding and optimizing the mind / body / spirit connection and studied anthropology, religious studies, and psychology in my undergrad before following my heart and making the leap to attend Massage School at AIM! I chose to attend the Ashland Institute of Massage in southern Oregon so I could pursue my main purpose – to help people feel better in their bodies by studying at the best massage program in the state at that time. While at AIM, I feel in love with developing my skills in Clinical Assessment and Treatment, Thai Massage, and Craniosacral Therapy as I could immediately tell these were some of the modalities that would help me facilitate the most effective healing sessions. Since then, I’ve been blessed to receive private patronage allowing me to pursue an exceptional amount of professional continuation education! As such I have had the privilege to study with many world-renowned instructors and institutes: Including and not limited to; learning Thai Massage and Thai Acupressure for Orthopedic Conditions with D’vorah Swatzman and Noam Tyroler, Scar Tissue Release through classes and mentorship with Majorie Brook, and 3 levels of training through the Upledger Institute for Craniosacral Therapy and SomatoEmotional Release, and 4 levels of training with the Barrel Institute for Visceral Manipulation, as well as clinical mentorship with Peter Coppola Barral Instructor and PT, and Jeffrey Burch, LMT for Functional Methods of Structural Integration.

While I love bodywork and providing hands on care, I also love getting to teach and model a Wellness Centric Life Style. Led through my own quest to heal, over the last 7 years I’ve cultivated my knowledge of Essential Oils and a Functional Medicine model for health. I’ve had honor of studying with many Aromatherapy and Natural Health Educators including Dr. Josie Schmidt, Dr. Tyler Keliiheleua, Dr. Louise Rose, and Dr. Mariza Snyder. And over time have not only put my own chronic illness into remission with the help of these doctors, but have gotten to expand my scope to embrace my role as a Wellness Advocate and have been wearing the hat of being a full time Essential Oil Educator and Community Leader in our international natural health focused community for a few years now.

I’m all about living life to the fullest, and when I’m not teaching zoom classes on holistic wellness and essential oils, mentoring other entrepreneurs, or hands on in clinic, you’d most likely find me busy prepping nutritious meals, gone off grid hiking, camping and/or kayaking with my husband and kitten (yes, our cat goes kayaking with us!), receiving bodywork sessions with my wonderful colleagues, or luxuriating in the chance to take a peaceful nap and recharge in a Float Tank at the Float Shoppe.
