Rebecca Sanchez, DCIn my work, I seek to uncover the underlying root cause of any issue that is unique to each individual. By using muscle testing techniques that incorporate Chinese medicine, I am able to determine where imbalances in the nervous system are located, whether they be structural, biochemical or emotional, also known as the Triad of Health. In a visit, we will essentially fix what we find, pulling from the diverse techniques I have studied over the years, to optimize your system’s needs. I treat my patients using a holistic approach because all areas of health are interconnected and can cause symptoms according to the Triad of Health. Physical pain or symptoms in the body can have an emotional component stemming from a past trauma or situation that is unresolved. By not only treating the physical ailments but also including the emotional component, nutritional component and muscular component, we are able to get to the bottom of the problem to resolve it once and for all together. I offer gentle chiropractic techniques in addition to standard chiropractic, making treatments suitable for all ages and conditions.

I want to empower you to have tools that you can use at home to maintain your wellness, including rehab exercises and nutritional supplementation. I specialize in clinical nutrition, individually tailored to your body’s needs, whether this includes detoxification, overcoming nutritional deficiencies or strengthening your musculoskeletal system. My goal is to work together with you to assist you in being restored to optimal function and be free of pain and other symptoms that hold you back from living your best life.

Background and Education

I graduated from the University of Western States in 2019 with a Doctorate of Chiropractic. During this time in addition to school, I intensely studied Applied Kinesiology, NET, epigenetics and nutrition and various other techniques that I draw upon today as a practitioner. I attended 100s of hours of seminars to help further my understanding of medicine and it has been an extraordinary journey. My older twin brothers and their wives are all allopathic doctors, and seeing them helping people over the years inspired me to go down this path in college. I attended the University of Oregon for undergraduate school and studied all areas of science with an emphasis in anatomy, physiology and organic chemistry to prepare for my future career in medicine. Becoming a chiropractor was not on my radar until later in life when I injured my low back and was told that my injury had an emotional component connected to when I was a child during my first NET session. It was after that treatment that I knew I had to offer this same work to the world. In addition, I also have a Masters in Herbal Medicine from ACHS here in Portland which I attended after undergraduate school.

Outside of Work

I am a Portland native, born and raised right here in Southeast Portland. My free time is spent in nature, preferably in the Columbia River Gorge or at the beach enjoying the beauty of the PNW with my family. I have two young sons that keep my life exciting and full of activities. With my roots being here, I am honored to be able to serve this wonderful community that I call home.

What my patients say

Dr. Rebecca has helped me with numerous issues the most severe being my low back and left knee. Her skill and intuition as to what method to use is uncanny. She draws on various modalities to treat the issue with amazing accuracy. I highly recommend her!

As a patient I found the most success with Dr. Rebecca, because of her knowledge with applied kinesiology. With constant jaw problems Rebecca was able to find the source of my pain with muscle testing and create an appropriate and effective treatment plan. Since her treatment my jaw has continued to remain pain free. Her applied kinesiology background allowed her to find hidden nutritional deficiencies that correlated with other symptoms I presented with. Through muscle testing Rebecca found which supplements were the most effective for my symptoms and within months I noticed a change in my emotions, energy, and gut problems. I am very grateful I had Rebecca as my doctor, not only to treat my symptoms but educate me on my overall health.
