Love Your Brain is a six-week, theme-based gentle yoga series designed for people who have experienced a brain injury. Class themes include: finding wholeness, mindfulness, finding positivity and realistic optimism, cultivating strength and resilience, the importance of community, and gratitude. Each 90-minute session includes:

  • 10-minute introduction of the class theme and breathing exercises to calm and energize the nervous system
  • 45 minutes of gentle yoga to nurture the body and support mobility
  • 15-minute meditation to support nervous system regulation and enhance mood and attention
  • 20-minute reflection and discussion to build community and strengthen skills in resiliency

Love Your Brain is a research backed gentle yoga series that has the “potential to benefit quality of life after brain injury and rehabilitation goals, including positive sense of self, psychological well-being, and community integration.”

Students are encouraged to sign up for the six-week series to support building community and to experience continuity among the themes of the series and students are also more than welcome to attend one session of the series.
