Saturday Hatha Flow Yoga in Sellwood Park

Join us for a monthly Saturday morning of yoga, community, and connection in the beauty of Sellwood Park. This welcoming outdoor gathering blends gentle Hatha-inspired flow, mindful movement, breath awareness, and seasonal themes to help you feel grounded, energized, and connected.

Each gathering offers an opportunity to enjoy fresh air and open skies, and connect with the rhythms of the season through movement and presence. Our practice includes a gentle warming flow designed to cultivate calm strength, mobility, balance, and overall well-being while enjoying the steadying presence of nature.

After practice, you’re invited to stay for seasonal refreshments provided by our nutritionist, Nikki, and enjoy community connection in the park.

This class is accessible to a variety of experience levels and offers a supportive space to move, breathe, strengthen, and restore in community. Participants should be comfortable getting up and down from the ground independently. Whether you’re new to yoga or have practiced for years, you’ll leave feeling refreshed, centered, and connected.

Class Time: 9:00 – 10:00 AM

Refreshments and Connection: 10:00 – 10:30 AM

Please Bring: Your own mat, any preferred props, water, and layers for comfort outdoors.

Come a few minutes early to settle in and enjoy the park before practice begins.

Cost: Suggested $25 (sliding Scale: $15–$35). No one is turned away due to lack of funds.

Advance registration is appreciated to help us prepare refreshments.
Drop-ins are welcome.

Maya Lake-Freeman is a Certified Yoga Therapist and experienced yoga teacher specializing in trauma-informed yoga therapy and accessible, mindful movement practices. Her work blends the ancient wisdom of yoga with modern neuroscience, Ayurveda, and complementary healing modalities to help clients find strength, balance, and stillness.

Nikki AlfanoNikki is a board-certified Functional Nutritionist, wellness educator, and the founder of Rooted Spirit Wellness. Her work is rooted in a holistic and personalized approach to health by helping individuals reconnect with their bodies through nutrition, lifestyle, and mindful practices.
