Muscle activation using Clinical Kinesiology is a technique developed by Alan Beardall in Oregon for activating and fixing injured or inhibited muscles of the body. After an injury, muscles around a joint shut down and must be neurologically “fixed” to reconnect them to the brain and nervous system. The basic premise of AK is to fix muscles and therefore balance organs and meridians. This system is comprehensive and was developed by a doctor that practiced AK. It is very effective for athletes, motor-vehicle accident cases and for patients with general pain conditions. Adjusting with chiropractic care alone isn’t adequate to fix deeper neurological issues and by fixing muscles around an injured joint, higher levels of healing and wellness will be attained.
