Supporting the foundation

My approach to patient care begins with identifying underlying causes of disease which stem from social, emotional, physical, environmental, and spiritual factors. With these factors in mind, I work with patients to re-establish the foundations of health in an individualized way. Depending on the patient’s needs, we will journey to find how and where to apply food, hydrotherapy, movement, mindfulness, and nature as medicine.

Trauma informed bodywork

As a naturopathic doctor in Portland, I value therapeutic touch as an element of healing. I provide pelvic floor therapy, often mixed with Swedish massage, shiatsu, and other bodywork. I love energy work and will mix in craniosacral therapy with somatic re-education as a more gentle approach. I appreciate these sessions as a chance to slow down and practice mindfulness. A vital component of my practice is empowering patients and prioritizing their sense of safety. Patients are in control of the visit.

Gender affirming care in Portland

Treating my LGBTQIA2S+ community is of high importance to me, and I support the full expression of patients, utilizing naturopathic and conventional modalities. Gender affirming care in Portland includes the most basic respect of names and identities, hormone care, pelvic floor therapy, mental health, and referrals to specialists such as endocrinologists and other providers.

Education and Background

I was born and raised in Yuma, Arizona. Prior to medical school, I received my Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from The University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona (one of my most favorite cities!) I graduated from the National University of Natural Medicine in Portland, Oregon with my Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine in 2021. During medical school I obtained my massage license, and, thereafter, my certification in integrative pelvic therapy. I’m currently completing my 2nd year of residency at NUNM and transitioning my practice fully to Heart Spring Health at the end of September 2023.
