Maya Lake-Freeman is a Certified Yoga Therapist and experienced yoga teacher specializing in trauma-informed yoga therapy and accessible, mindful movement practices. Her work blends the ancient wisdom of yoga with modern neuroscience, Ayurveda, and complementary healing modalities to help clients find strength, balance, and stillness.
With over 700 teaching hours and more than 15 years of personal practice, Maya offers both one-on-one yoga therapy and group therapeutic yoga classes. She supports clients in cultivating resilience, nervous system regulation, and self-awareness through movement, breathwork, and mindfulness.
Maya’s approach is rooted in deep listening and compassion, creating a safe space for clients to explore healing from stress, trauma, injury, or chronic tension. She works with clients of all backgrounds, both in-person in Portland and online.
