Movement is Medicine

Jade Armstrong, DCAs a provider, I believe the most effective approach is to find functional  movement that feels accessible and beneficial for your body. Small movements  can be powerful and impact our pain in huge ways. The body is designed to  move, adapt, and heal. When we stop moving well, pain and dysfunction often  follow. In restoring healthy movement patterns and improving function, my  patients can feel empowered to take an active role in their care. Rather than  simply masking symptoms, I will work with you to address the root causes of  your discomfort so you can move with confidence and live more fully.

Health at Every Size (HEAS) – Meeting Patients Where They’re At

In my practice, I embrace a Health at Every Size approach. This means  recognizing that one’s wellbeing is not defined by a single number, shape, or  standard. Every body is different and I believe care should reflect that. There is  no one-size-fits-all solution, and what works for one person may not work for  another.

Our work together begins with understanding your unique needs, goals, and  experiences. From there, we will create a care plan together that feels  appropriate, accessible, and supportive for where you are right now. Whether  your focus is reducing pain, improving function, or feeling more at home in your  body, I will meeting you with respect, flexibility, and intention.

How to Live with Chronic Pain

Chronic pain is something many people live with, and it’s not always something  that can be completely eliminated. My work with chronic pain patients focuses  on improving function and building effective, sustainable strategies for managing  symptoms over time.

Together, we’ll take the time to understand your body and identify your current  limits while exploring how to safely expand them without triggering flare-ups.  This process is collaborative and tailored to you, helping you build confidence in  how you move, recover, and care for yourself day to day.

A key part of our work is making sure you never leave the clinic without a plan.  Whether that includes specific strategies for managing a flare, guidance on  activity levels, or tools to support your progress between visits, you’ll have a  clear path forward. The goal is to help you navigate life with greater consistency,  control, and a stronger sense of what works for your body, even in the presence  of pain.

Outside of Work

In my free time, I like to stay active and spend as much time outdoors as I can. I’m especially fond of hiking, biking, and bringing my dogs along whenever possible. I also love spending time with my spouse, whether we’re out exploring or just enjoying a quiet day together. When I’m at home, you’ll often find me making art, playing guitar, or finding a home project to keep busy.
