Healing Begins with Safety
As a Vitalistic Naturopathic Doctor, I see the mind, body, and spirit as parts of one whole, always working together. Our thoughts, emotions, and experiences all shape the way our bodies function, affecting hormones, digestion, sleep, and energy. Likewise, physical imbalances can show up as emotional unease, brain fog, or low mood. I believe healing happens when we restore connection; when we slow down, listen to what the body is saying, and bring harmony back to all parts of ourselves. My approach is about supporting that natural intelligence within each person and helping it do what it’s meant to do: heal.
The Nervous System is the Bridge Between the Mind and the Body
The nervous system helps us sense the world and determines whether we move through life from a place of safety or survival. When we go through ongoing stress or emotional overwhelm, the nervous system can stay in a “fight or flight” mode for too long. Over time, this can lead to hormone changes, inflammation, fatigue, or pain. To help the body shift back into a state of calm and healing, I use therapies that support nervous system balance such as craniosacral therapy, hydrotherapy, and herbal medicine. These gentle approaches help the body shift from protection into repair and regeneration.
Supporting a return to balance
When the body feels safe, it knows how to heal. My goal in every visit is to create a space where you feel seen, supported, and at ease. Healing is not about “fixing” what’s wrong—it’s about listening deeply, working with the body rather than against it, and helping you reconnect to your natural state of balance and vitality.
Walking the Path of Healing—Personally and Professionally
My first degree is a Bachelors of Science in Nursing which allowed me to see that western medicine can truly be a blessing such as in cases of emergencies, trauma, or surgery. However, after 8 years of working in hospitals I began to realize the gaps in care including a lack of preventive care and poor management of chronic disease. This, paired with my own chronic health concerns, led me to Bastyr University where I received my degree in Naturopathic Medicine.
As previously mentioned, my path to naturopathic medicine began through my own experiences with chronic health challenges. At eighteen, I was diagnosed with Celiac disease, an autoimmune intolerance to gluten. While removing gluten from my diet brought some relief, I still didn’t feel truly well, and my mental health suffered as a result. After years of searching for answers through conventional doctors and therapists, I eventually found a chiropractor who practiced functional medicine. That experience opened my eyes to a new way of understanding health – one that looked for the root causes rather than just managing symptoms. Since then, I’ve worked with a variety of holistic practitioners who have each played a role in my healing journey. I share this because I know how it feels to be searching for answers and hope. You are not alone. It’s my greatest privilege to combine my personal experience with my naturopathic training to help guide others toward their own healing and a renewed sense of vitality.
